A portion of the Pineda Causeway overpass near Interstate 95 in Florida reopened after a 3 axle Boom Crane truck crane owned by Beyel Brothers tipped over was uprighted and moved by a Link-Belt 100-ton HTC-86100

One person – a worker standing on the back of the boom truck as it fell over – was transported to Viera Hospital as a result of the accident.

The boom truck crane was being used to remove concrete slabs from the Pineda Causeway overpass.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said the boom truck crane attempted to rotate with one of the slabs when it tipped over toward the right. The truck overturned on the right side, injuring a worker who was standing on the rear of the truck. The injuries were described as non-life threatening. Damage to the overpass was still being assessed by work crews.
