SARASOTA CO., Fla. A 120-ton 4 axle All Terrain crane came toppling over, crushing a vehicle and a trailer in North Port Wednesday afternoon.
The crane was previously being used by workers who were installing new equipment to a cell phone tower along Toledo Blade. At around 1 p.m., the crane somehow broke loose and came crashing to the ground.
Miraculously, no one was hurt during the event. However, officials say the crane came close to hitting a few workers below.
The North Port Fire Department and Police Department responded to the scene and are currently investigating the incident. The North Port Police Department reports that the incident is under investigation. North Port spokesman Joshua Taylor says the crane was operated by Allegiance Crane Co.
