Two construction workers were severely injured Monday morning when a Down Cab Rough Terrain crane hit a power line in West Seattle.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene, near 42nd Avenue SW and SW Oregon Street, at about 10:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a serious construction accident.
Both construction workers were rushed to Harborview Medical Center with severe burn injuries.
Both are in critical condition.
The circumstances leading up to the accident remain under investigation.
A witness at the scene told KOMO News that she heard the construction workers say, “Whoa, whoa, whoa! Slow down!” as the crane swung through the air. Then it hit the power line.
