Walker County sheriff’s deputies responded to report of an accident on a construction site in the 1300 block of Highway 269 in Parrish around 8:15 a.m. Upon arriving, deputies discovered an overturned crane and one injured victim. The coroner’s office was called the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
Walker County’s Deputy Coroner told ABC 33/40, ” The crane operator jumped out when the crane started shifting and the crane landed on top of him. “
