Eilbeck Cranes has delivered its second engineering masterpiece for Sydney’s $2.9 Billion NorthConnex project – This latest crane, draws almost 500kW of power making itself the most powerful overhead gantry crane ever built in Australia.
The main role of the crane is supporting the tunnel boring machine and removal of kibbling from the projects muck. Melrose Crane & Rigging PTY LTD assisted in the assembly of the 100-ton capacity overhead crane.
Eilbeck sees the change in the recent Global manufacturing industry as an opportunity for Australian manufacturing, where others are outsourcing everything possible to overseas markets, they are manufacturing everything possible locally – evident in their new Machining Division.
