Since 2012,  the number of employees at the German SANY plant has gone in one direction; DOWN. The production of concrete pumps, excavators and port load stackers has essentially stopped.

The SANY Bedburg, Germany center will still serve as the distribution and spare parts center for SANY Group in Europe.

In 2012, SANY made the largest investment by a Chinese company in Europe; at the time SANY Company founder Wengen Liang said.

“If we are successful in Europe, many other Chinese companies will follow us.” from the Rhineland Sany wants to conquer the market in Europe and North Africa.

SANY acquired Putzmeister, a concrete pump maker in 2012, which was a family-owned, niche-focused, German engineering group and backbone of the German economy.  Now, the Bedburg Plant has become obsolete and production is being moved out of Germany.

sany-better times

Better times in 2013 when the plant was producing.

Our sources say, heavy machinery produced at the Bedburg plant was made according to meticulous German standards, now who knows if the same machines made elsewhere will still maintain the level of craftsmanship and excellence end users have come to expect from German manufacturing.

Simply put, the question is this.

Would you rather drive a automobile made by Mercedes, BMW, Audi or SAIC Motor, Dongfeng, Geely, and Chery?
