The national table tennis teams from Germany and Austria face each other in a match in the enormous pit of the T 264 mining truck. In one of the games the European record holder Timo Boll takes on former world champion Werner Schlager. The “Match in the Pit” is moderated by ZDF sports presenter Norbert König and is broadcast live on the LED screens at the Liebherr stand. Afterwards the table tennis stars are available to sign autographs for fans.
