Chicago area baseball fans eagerly await opening day at “The Friendly Confines”. In preparation for the first game of the season, crews began the installation project of returning the marquee featured on the ballpark’s façade at Clark and Addison.
The marquee, which was first installed over 80 years ago, was removed after the 2015 season while renovations of the park proceeded in the off season.
Stevenson Crane Service, Inc., was on the job with a Terex T340 Hydraulic Truck Crane, which carefully positioned the historic digital display into place in the afternoon of April 4, 2016. The crew of Local #150 Crane Operators did a great job ensuring a safe and well-placed pick.
