Recently, two new XF Euro 6 DAF tractors, were delivered to Peinemann. They are multi purpose vehicles with a heavy 9-ton front axle and a dual trailing axle.
The powertrain consists of a 12.9-liter 462 hp engine with a maximum torque of 2,300 Nm at 1000-1450 rpm, automatic ZF 12-speed gearbox, and a new single reduction drive axle. This new engine is equipped with common rail fuel injection, a variable geometry turbocharger, exhaust gas recirculation and ingenious exhaust after treatment to meet the stringent Euro 6 emission requirements.
To generate sufficient braking performance in heavy transport up to 72 tons , the DAF’s features the MX Engine Brake with a maximum braking power of 360 kW.
