CONSTRUCTION workers on a Wembley site have some cleaning up to do after a 130-ton Grove All Terrain operated by Kwik Transport & Crane Hire toppled over this morning.

The crane, reportedly weighing as much as 130 tons, was operating on a construction site at the corner of Pangbourne and Ruislip streets in Wembley.

The crane toppled before 10am this morning and hit a water main and through new roof construction.

Pindan Construction director Mark Thompson said no one was injured and damage to the site and crane was minimal.

“As is the case with any incidents, Pindan has commenced an investigation into the cause,” he said.

“Pindan is also working with Worksafe on their investigation of the incident.”

Mr Thompson said the crane was stabilized and would be removed.
