A crane was used to winch a man to safety yesterday afternoon, after he was knocked unconscious on a construction site in suburban, Sydney Australia

The man in his 30s was hit by a concrete-pump hose around after it broke loose while being flushed clean with high-pressure water.

The hose was flapping wildly when it allegedly struck the man.

CareFlight paramedics responded in the rescue helicopter and a specialist doctor assessed the man for head and facial injuries at the scene and provided medication for pain before winching him from the roof of the three-storey project.

A large team of emergency services personnel were involved in getting the man safely onto a stretcher and craning him off site.

The man was taken by ambulance to the Hospital in a stable condition.
