The SL16000J-H crane is one of the largest crawlers in Japan, claims Kobelco, with a maximum lifting capacity of 1,250 tonnes at a radius of 10 m in super heavy lift configuration. The model has 95 m maximum main boom and 85 m luffing jib.

Compliant with Japanese transportation regulations, the crane is intended for use in a wide variety of heavy lifting operations, including at power plant and bridge construction sites, said the manufacturer.

The handover ceremony at bauma was attended by MIC president, Eikichi Oyama, and Kazuhide Naraki, new president and ceo of Kobelco Construction Machinery, which now includes Kobelco Cranes after the two Kobe Steel subsidiaries completed their merger at the beginning of April.
